ArcaBoard

Pre-order this $19,900 hoverboard and "fly" for 6 minutes.

Yes, it's a hoverboard. A real hoverboard and not one of those two wheeled things, why are they even called hoverboards? ARCA Space Corporation claims to be the latest company to have developed an actual hoverboard. They developed the board as an exercise in engineering, and although it may be far from elegant; it gets the job done.

The ArcaBoard uses upthrust to float in mid-air. It has 36 electric fans producing 272 horsepower to achieve this. Apparently you steer this device with your smartphone, or you can use your body weight. It has a top speed of 12.5 MPH, which you can enjoy for 6 minutes until the battery dies.

Yes, this device is most likely an attention grabbing PR stunt and the ArcaBoard has vaporware written all over it. But I like to think that it's a statement that we made that "Back to the Future" prediction of our technological abilities...even if it is only a wobbly block that only floats for six minutes.
