In Japan, You Can Buy Your Kid A Giant Robot

The Kid's Walker from Japanese company Sakakibara Kikai is an honest to goodness robot vehicle for kids and it would make for a truly awesome Halloween costume...

Japanese manufacturer Sakakibara Kikai has introduced a new toy...a six foot tall killing machine!
Let me introduce you to The Kidswalker...

The robot is operated by using its throttle controls and although its gait still needs a lot of work, it's not a bad robot toy for kids. Overall, the Kidswalker robot stands 5.2 feet tall and weighs around 397 pounds. Sakakibara Kiakai is selling the robot for $20,000.

This robot is a followup to the company's "Landwalker" an 11 foot tall robot for adults to ride, pictured above. The Landwalker comes equipped with air cannons that fire nerf balls. The Landwalker is also pretty powerful, it runs off of a gasoline powered engine.

Popular Japanese robot company Sakakibara Kikai has just revealed its latest robot toy for kids. The Kidswalker NT (short for New Type), a new version of the company's original model which made its debut in 2010. Apart from its gasoline-powered exoskeleton, the Kidswalker NT (pictured below) has been upgraded with a new set of features such as a chest plate to protect its young pilot and a new set of arms equipped with a gripper and drill.

Standing over 6 feet tall, the Kidswalker NT, which has been dubbed "Cyclops" has a full range of motion that the kids can play with, from manipulating its arms to being able to walk it in any direction. The machine runs on a battery and is easy to use. All the kids have to do is hop into the cockpit and start driving.

Check the Cyclops in action in the video below:

The company's website doesn't have a price listed for the Cyclops just yet, but it's previously released robot in 2011, The Kidswalker, cost only $20,000. That leads John Hofilena of the Japan Daily Press to speculate that the Cyclops will probably have similar pricing.
