Star Wars SkyCar
Star Wars
We all wish we had force powers right?
...don't tell me you haven't thought of doing this before...
But being a light saber toting Jedi is not as easy at it looks...
...considering a lot of the technology doesn't exist.
So far all we can really do is hold up traffic with our "force powers"
or dress up like C-3PO or R2D2
(C-3PO and R2D2 have never looked better lol...)
But if you were to say that the technology didn't exist, you'd be wrong.
Cause it does exist.
First the hover-bike, or really any flying vehicle in star wars. People tell me that flying cars are far off into the future and that it will take a long time for us to get there...well their wrong.
Please tell me you've at least heard or seen these guys before! If you haven't then I hate to tell you, but you've been living in a cave for the past forty years...
The circular saucer shaped one is an earlier project, but the two red ones are Moller SkyCars, made by Paul Moller, owner and founder of Moller International. This is a personal computer controlled flying vehicle which will be available on the market soon for around an estimated cost of $500,000 per unit.
Now a lot of money has gone into the development of this SkyCar, around $100 million dollars worth has been spent at R & D at Moller International. Paul Moller has high hopes that this vehicle will become a main mode of transportation and he's spent forty years of his life trying to make this dream into a reality. He's been working on it for FORTY YEARS! talk about commitment...
And it's supposed to be coming out this year...
Well, until then, we're still stuck pretending to fly around in our own personal hovercar...at least we can still dress up in Star Wars outfits ;p
